OUR PRODUCTION APPROACH

From Requirement to Production, Care at Every Stage

Label production is far more than a single printing operation. The right result starts with understanding where and how the label will be used, and is completed through a controlled process that continues until the order is ready for dispatch. Below we explain what we pay attention to at each step of that process.

01

Understanding the Product and Its Use

The surface of the product the label is applied to, the type of packaging and the usage conditions are decisive. Glass, plastic, metal or paper surfaces, as well as frozen, damp or oily environments, require different solutions. We clarify this information in the first step.

02

Choosing the Right Material and Adhesive

Paper-based materials, film materials such as PP and PE, and adhesive types all behave differently. Permanent or removable adhesive, and gloss or matt surface preferences should be evaluated together with the product's shelf life and how it will be used.

03

Dimensions and Printing Requirements

The label width, height, its layout inside the roll and the winding direction must be compatible with your application equipment. The areas reserved for barcodes, expiry dates or legal information are also planned at this stage.

04

Pre-Production File and Order Check

Before printing begins, the resolution of the artwork file, the colour separation, the cutting line and the bleed margins are checked. Order quantity, dimensions and material details are confirmed one last time, so that no unexpected correction is needed during production.

05

Consistency Throughout Production

The labels within the same order must look identical in terms of colour, cutting and print density. The checks carried out throughout production aim to prevent any difference between the first label and the last.

06

Final Checks According to the Order

When production is complete, the labels are checked against the dimensions, quantity, material and winding order specified in the order. Products that are not visually acceptable are separated out and the shipment is prepared.

PRODUCTION PROCESS

Label Production in Six Steps

Every order follows the same sequence: understanding the requirement, determining the material, print preparation, printing, cutting and winding, and the final check. The steps below summarise how this process works.

Specialist carrying out a needs analysis before production
01

Needs Analysis

Information such as the properties of the product, the surface the label will be applied to, the usage environment (humidity, temperature, friction), the order quantity and whether roll or single labels are preferred is collected. This information forms the basis of all subsequent decisions.

02

Material Selection

Depending on the requirement, paper or film-based label material and the adhesive type are evaluated. Gloss or matt surfaces and transparent or opaque options are considered together with the product's appearance and durability expectations.

03

Design and Print Preparation

The label dimensions are finalised and the artwork file is prepared for printing. The legibility of the text, the area where the barcode will be placed and the colour separation are checked; the cutting line and bleed margins are prepared.

04

Printing Process

Label printing is carried out according to the selected material and printing method. Print quality is affected by the method used, ink-to-material compatibility, print density and machine settings together. These factors are monitored throughout the process.

05

Cutting and Finishing

Printed labels are cut to the specified dimensions and wound according to the roll layout. The accuracy of the cut size, the winding direction and the roll diameter are important for the label to work smoothly in your application equipment. Where required, protective processes such as lamination are applied.

Quality Control and Dispatch Preparation

In the final stage, the order specifications, print appearance, legibility and product arrangement are checked. Dimensions, quantity, material and winding details are compared with the order; products that are not suitable are separated out and prepared for dispatch.

AREAS OF USE

Every Product Has Different Needs

A food package, a cosmetic bottle and a warehouse carton do not call for the same label. Below you can see what is considered in each area and explore the related product group.

Food labels on glass jars and bottles

Food and Beverage Labels

Used on bottles, jars, boxes and packaged products for product information, contents and expiry dates.

What to consider: Choosing a material and adhesive suited to humidity, cold storage and contact with oil comes to the fore.

What Matters in Material Selection?

The suitability of a label depends on the structure of the surface it is applied to, the humidity and temperature of the environment, exposure to friction and external factors, and the way it is applied. No single material is ideal for every condition, so the choice should be made according to the product's real conditions of use.

QUALITY CONTROL

Quality Begins in the Details

Quality control is not a single glance at the end of production. It starts with collecting the right information when the order is taken, continues through print preparation, printing and cutting, and is completed with the final check before dispatch.

In this process we check print appearance and colour consistency, the legibility of text and barcodes, whether label dimensions match the order, whether the chosen material suits the conditions of use, and the quantity and winding details specified in the order.

WHY ÇAğLAR ETIKET?

Experience Coming from 1985

Çağlar Etiket was founded in 1985 by Kemal Demir. We have been involved in label production ever since, which has given us the opportunity to work with many label requirements from different sectors, in different sizes and under different conditions of use.

We use this experience with the following approach: we focus first on understanding the requirement correctly, then on developing a solution suited to the product, and on running the process with open communication.

A Long-Standing Company History

Uninterrupted experience in label production since 1985.

A Focus on Understanding the Requirement

We begin every project by asking about the product and its area of use.

Developing a Solution Suited to the Product

Instead of ready-made templates, we choose material, dimensions and printing according to the requirement.

Correct Evaluation of Order Details

We check your order before production to prevent misunderstandings.

Open Communication

We give clear and understandable answers to your questions throughout the process.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Common Questions About Production and Label Selection

The most essential details are what the product is and what surface the label will be applied to (glass, plastic, paper, metal, etc.), the usage environment (humidity, temperature, oil contact), the label size, the order quantity and whether roll or single labels are preferred. Once these are clear, the right material and adhesive can be selected far more accurately.

There is no single correct answer; the choice depends on the product's conditions of use. Paper-based materials suit dry, short-life applications, while film-based materials (PP, PE, etc.) are more resistant to humidity, friction and external factors. Share your product and usage environment and we can evaluate the options together.

The layout of the labels inside the roll, the winding direction, the roll diameter and the gap between labels must be compatible with the machine or hand applicator you will use. If you use automatic labelling, stating this at the time of ordering ensures production is planned correctly.

The file must be prepared at the real label size, at sufficient resolution and in the correct colour space. The cutting line and bleed margin should be stated separately, and critical areas such as barcodes should be positioned so that they remain readable after printing. When you send us your file, we carry out the pre-print checks.

Yes. Custom production is possible for non-standard sizes, shapes and designs. Simply share the dimensions you want and how you will apply the label; we will evaluate the feasibility together and offer the most suitable option for you.

The product the label will be applied to, the label size (width × height), the order quantity, your preferred material (if any), whether it is for roll or single use, and your artwork file if available are enough for a quote. The clearer this information is, the faster and more accurate the quote will be.
